Gregg Huennekens - CEO
Huennekens brings more than 40 years of experience to United States Alliance Fire Protection, and has helped grow the company into the largest fire sprinkler contractor in the Chicago and Milwaukee areas. Huennekens worked as a designer, estimator, salesman and manager before establishing United States Fire Protection in 1986. The company merged with Alliance Fire Protection this year to form United States Alliance Fire Protection.
Huennekens is active in many industry groups and currently serves as National Fire Sprinkler Association board chairman. He is married, has two children and five grandchildren, and enjoys travel, golf and skiing.
Chad Huennekens - President
Huennekens is experienced in all aspects of the industry, from design and estimating to sales and safety. He began his career as a residential superintendent in 1999, and has been president since 2009. Under his leadership, the company will continue to sell, design and install best-in-class systems with a focus on safety and field operations.
Huennekens and his wife, Dana, have three children. They all enjoy golf, skiing and hiking.
Fred Kroll - Executive Vice President of Business Development
Kroll oversees business development at United States Alliance Fire Protection. During his 35+-year career, he has worked as a designer, salesman and manager. Kroll was president of Alliance Fire Protection from its inception in 1995 until its merger with United States Fire Protection in 2011. Kroll is a past chairman of the National Fire Sprinkler Association's Northern Illinois chapter and the Illinois Burn Prevention Invitational, and remains active in industry groups. He is married with three children and enjoys travel and golf.
Steve Riggle - Executive Vice President of Operations
Riggle oversees daily operations for United States Alliance Fire Protection, a role he was promoted to this year. He previously worked as a superintendent and purchasing manager. He enjoys playing sports in his free time.
Rodney Turner - Executive Vice President of Sales
Turner's 25-year career in the fire protection industry includes experience in shop operations, design, sales and senior management. Previously, he was executive vice president-sales for Alliance Fire Protection.
Turner and his wife Laurie, have two children, Allyson and Thomas. He enjoys golf, hockey and triathlons. He also completed the Chicago Marathon in 2010 and hopes to participate again.
Steve Sferra - Executive Vice President - Wisconsin
Sferra's 27-year career in the fire protection industry began in design and sales roles, eventually spanning into operations management. Joining USAFP in 1999, his commitment to customer service became the core of the Wisconsin operation.
Sferra is Vice Chairman of the NFSA Wisconsin Chapter and serves on the State Automatic Fire Sprinkler Fitter Advisory Committee. Sferra and wife Lisa are kept busy raising four sons who are involved in a wide array of activities.
Jamie Reap - Vice President
Reap has responsibilities in multiple areas of the company, including development of website content and social media. His 30 years in fire protection began with heavy industrial and special hazard applications. He is NICET IV-certified in automatic sprinkler and special hazards systems layout.
Reap is currently chairman of the Chicago Sprinkler Industry Promotion Committee. His other industry affiliations include roles with the National Fire Sprinkler Association and International Code Council. After raising two boys, he and his wife, Cheryl, now pursue photography and travel.
Gregory P. Johnson - Service Department Manager
Johnson has worked in the fire protection industry since 1987. He has experience in design and sales, and also helped to start a small projects and service department. Johnson has managed the company's service department since 2004.
Johnson and his wife, Mary, live in Chicago's northern suburbs with their two children and Siberian husky. He enjoys golfing, hiking and the outdoors.
Orlando J. Stratman - Service Department Operations Manager
Stratman has more than 35 years of experience in the mechanical trades and 30 years of senior management experience. His expertise enables him to resolve any fire sprinkler installation issue quickly and accurately. His mentoring abilities have allowed him to grow and train an experienced staff to better serve customers.
Stratman and his wife, Kim, live in Chicago's northwest suburbs. He enjoys gardening, woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren.
