For United States Alliance Fire Protection (USAFP), business development is not just about marketing the company, but also about the corporate responsibility we pride ourselves in giving back to the communities in which we work and live.

Besides the many charities and organizations that we contribute to on an ongoing basis, such as the American Cancer Society, Boy Scouts of America, and ACE Tech Charter High School, USAFP is involved in two other organizations, the Illinois Burn Prevention Association and the Columbia St. Mary's Regional Burn Center in Milwaukee, Wis.

The Illinois Burn Prevention Association was originally created in 1995 to raise money for the Illinois Burn Camp, now called Camp I Am Me. Through its annual golf event, the nonprofit expanded its charitable outreach to Loyola University-Stritch School of Medicine, Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors, and the Tragedy to Triumph Foundation. This year's event raised more than $70,000.

The Columbia St. Mary's Regional Burn Center supports nearly 250 patients per year and also raises funds through an annual golf invitational. This event provides funds for supporting burn injury care, awareness and prevention.

Combined, more than $3 million has been raised to support both organizations.

USAFP is in the business of helping saving lives and property. We are also in the business of helping people affected by the tragedies of fire.
